District Team Visit Garnett Council No.8
 
On Monday 12th  January members of Garnett Council No.8 welcomed to their Installation Meeting R.W.Bro. Mark Barton District Grand Prefect who was accompanied by  W.Bro.Ian Nairn Deputy District Grand Prefect together with members of the District Team.

On entered the Lodge the District Grand Prefect was greeted accordingly by W.Bro. Stuart Mowbray and all the Brethren present.

The District Grand Prefect Mark Barton occupied the Chair for a few moments to introduce the District Team, the Master re occupied the chair, but before any other business could be undertaken a knock on the door indicated a late comer, yes you’ve guessed correct, it was the Grand Master M.W.Bro. Tom Jackson, who entered to rapturous applause.

Also welcomed to the meeting were all the visitors amongst these was Jon Measures (WM. Meridian Council).

The next business was the Installation as Master of Bro. Gordon Ivett, which was carried out in an excellent manner by Stuart Mowbray.
 
Following the Installation Ceremony Mark Barton the District Grand Prefect congratulated W.Bro. Gordon Ivett on becoming Master of Garnett Council, wishing him well for the future, he also congratulated all those who had taken office.
And so to refreshment
He also commented on the standard of Ritual worked in the Ceremony of Installation thanking Stuart Mowbray on the excellence of the work carried out and for his stewardship of the Council over the past 12 months.
 
In reply Gordon Ivett thanked the District Grand Prefect for his generous comments inviting him and all present to join him at dinner.
